Of course you are not the only one using bcm43xx; however, when you make the 
switch to b43 you will
be very happy with the improved stability, particularly in a crowded 
environment. SoftMAC is very
easily confused when there is a lot of traffic, which requires 
unloading/reloading the driver, or a
reboot. I could force this by doing an ssh login to my second machine and doing 
a git pull with both
computers on the same AP. With mac80211, this configuration works perfectly.
