You need to install the firmware. Go to 
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware
and follow the instructions. The installation instructions are the next section 
of that webpage.You
will need V3 firmware for the bcm43xx. Once you get the firmware installed, it 
should work just fine.
