Hello,

I have not tried the bcm43xx driver for a long time and had the chance to try
it again this weekend.

I am running Debian lenny and tried for

01:01.0 0280: 14e4:4318 (rev 02)

or more verbose

01:01.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g]
802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: U.S. Robotics Unknown device 011a
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 64, IRQ 22
        Memory at feafe000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
        Kernel driver in use: bcm43xx
        Kernel modules: bcm43xx

the 2.6.22 kernel, which is in lenny currently.

It works well, though only when the router is close to the 4318 card. Seems
that this is a transmission power problem (I think I remember that this was
the big issue some time ago).

Then I pulled the 2.6.24 kernel from Debian sid, but the b43 module did not
work at all.

Is that the currently expected behavior?

Many thanks,
Rainer
