No it was not that problem. It was on a WL-138G V2 card, but I had changed the SPROM to get rid of the bluetooth coexistence bit. However, Ubuntu should probably get that patch. It gets curiouser and curiouser. I downloaded the Ubuntu source last night and rebuilt their kernel today. When I installed the one that I had just built and rebooted, the card worked OK with b43. I then got notice that Ubuntu had a new kernel to be downloaded. Same version as I had just built - 2.6.24-16-generic. After installing and rebooting, then it worked OK. It seems that the kernel source has been altered so as to fix this problem. I need to see if I can find out what changed.
