Hello,

I'm testing b43 driver for about a month now, and I noticed strange
issue. The driver is set in AP mode, I'm using WPA-PSK with TKIP / AES
encryption, depending on a client.

When using intel wireless client, it works without any problems. I can
even watch the videos streamed from a remote server (utilizes c.a.
2,5Mbps throughput). But using Atheros client breaks something. After
some short time, the message:

test-gw user.err kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error

starts to appear in the logs every 10-15s. The worst thing is it depends
on toolchain (binutils and gcc) version used to build the stuff. With
newer toolchain (binutils 2.18 and gcc 4.2.x) nothing more seems to
happen, but with older toolchain (binutils 2.17 and gcc 4.1.x) the
kernel oopses shot after first message, and the driver becomes totally
unstable (and unusable). This happens with both windows and linux driver.

Do you have any idea, how to debug this further? I could help with this,
but I don't have much experience with kernel stuff.

Best Regards,
BO
