This may not be the most useful bug report, but I'm just going to put this out there for the record. My 4318 occasionally goes fubar; it fails to function, with the syslog showing continual association followed by immediate disassociation:

I'm not sure that this is relevant, but my system has two mac80211 cards, both an internal 4318, which works with b43, and a PCMCIA Atheros card, which works (somewhat) with ath5k. The above problems occurred when I was using both of them simultaneously, and repeatedly bringing them up and down, connecting to several different APs.
