Obviously, the wiki needs to be updated.

My BCM4306/2 PCMCIA card that uses b43legacy as the driver supports AP mode
using the driver from wireless-testing (or compat-wireless) and the current
hostapd (0.6.8). The minimum is nl80211 in the kernel and support for it in 
hostapd.

I'm just getting started with testing AP mode, but I think any supported BCM43XX
should work as an AP.
