hi,

Some got upset by an earlier post I had about the Fedora-10 nightmare, as I
sent ( much more than I was aware of ) some dmi-decode pages.

Different networks ( cable/wireless ) cause some conflicts with other IO,
because of some mode-setting in the kernel. The worst trouble came with
the ev-dev, where the network conflicts made a finger on the touchpad
stop/start processes running.

The meaning of my post, was just to give a tip to others with similar
problems. Some have reported problems with PCI-express networking cards because
of the kernel code ( my is 2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64).

I installed under textmode, and everything went wild when I started X,
not knowing that X and kernel will tamper with the networks. If I am not
making sense, then forgive me.

At the moment, some of the issue seem only to affect certain video cards,
but the plan seems to be to add more. So, networks and other I/O will be
placed under some new control.

//ARNE
- hopefully this may clear up my input.
