There was a thread about this issue on openchrome-devel back in November, but the ticket was never mentioned in that thread. At any rate I've tried to clarify a bit in http://www.openchrome.org/trac/ticket/288#comment:24 and I believe r746 of OpenChrome should have fixed the issue.
