Thank you for your answer. Actually this patch is for kernel 2.4 - the
driver is known to be stable. I think I forgot to mention that I'd like
to get BCM5354 supported by 2.6 kernel driver, sorry.

Now the following is reported:
        b43-phy0: Broadcom 5354 WLAN found (core revision 13)
        b43-phy0 ERROR: FOUND UNSUPPORTED PHY (Analog 6, Type 5, Revision 0)
        b43: probe of ssb0:3 failed with error -122
