Dear Mr Alim sorry to budge in, but I can't help. There are entirely my personal feelings/views/opinions, and everybody has their rights to either comply or differ from what I have stated. No offence is intended to anybody or any organisation whatsoever, either explicit or implied. Flames are most welcome :D. There is no "silly" question, in the world of Unix that is. There are only two types of questions - 1. Questions that makes sense; 2. Stupid Questions. Let me give you an example, maybe that will help. in your childhood, you surely have been amazed by the aeroplanes. Now, most of the people can ask two different question the person beside them 1. How is the plane flying; 2. Why is the plane flying The first question makes sense, requires thought even in the part of the person who is going to answer. The second is so obvious to comperatively grown up person, that it does not seem like a question at all, and requires no thinking. Children are quite famous for asking many a stupid question as such. Being the parents, we always endure such questions. In my experience, unless there is a single parent, it is the mother who is always enduring the most of all the questions (no gender offence, really, but I have seen the fathers quitting after a certain while, but the mothers kept answering as long as the child could keep on questionning; but as for the single parents, the situation is obviously different) Now if you wish to know whether anybody in the net is willing to babysit you and spoonfeed all the things in Unix, well, I have found none. The world of Unix expects at least some level of maturity at your part, otherwise they would advise the toddler school for you. Unless you can take care of yourself, this is not the right place for you. You surely don't expect a child of class one to attend the classes for Honours Degree and surely don't expect the professor to answer all those silly questions that child might be asking, do you? Most of the problems faced by the newbies in the world of Unix/Linux have been faced by many, have been shared by many, and the answers to questions are posted in the net. All it requires is a little bit of patience, endurance, and logical approach -- lacking of which sure makes you disqualified in the world of Unix/Linux. Last, but not the least, of all the Lugs I had been a member of, BDLUG is the most enduring place. People are free to ask, and free to get burnt :D. If you don't believe me, see some of the posts in other lugs.A question such as the one you have posted usually get 1. No attention at all; b. the second posting gets you at least 50 different flames (needless to say that any sensible person will instantly withdraw her/his membership from that lug due to the polite insults); c. the third posting clearly gives you the reply, "yes, your level (or lack of, so to say) of intelligence superseeds the level acceptable to the list, so buzz off" -- and . . . Though I don't remember the exact phrasing, but long ago I read something that is similar to "You might stop growing and expect spoonfeeding at every level, but that doesn't mean that Linux cannot grow" :D Best regards.
