Hey Russel, What Linux distro you like then? You said you don't like Ubuntu, which is based of Debian kernel (actually an enhanced clone of Debian), so that becomes you don't like world's #1 distro Debian either. Then you should write down a review on the distro you like most and why. May be other people get impressed with that.
After trying 5 distro "Fedora Core 4" "Mendriva Limited Edition 2005" "Suse 9.2" "Debian 3.0" and "Ubuntu 5.04", I found it's the best distro for the beginners. Now you may say no Linux is good as Unix.
