Sajed Hi...
In the link BDCOM suggested...
- *Daily Prothom Alo, Dhaka, Bangladesh*
Daily *Prothom Alo* is the largest circulated Daily newspaper in
Bangladesh. They had difficulty of displaying Bangla in Web pages. All the
Bangladeshi and Indian sites normally use PDF and GIF/JPG images instead of
Texts. PDF and Images are much bigger (typically 100 times) than Text
information. More over they are not suitable for dynamic web pages.
Initially *Prothom Alo* developed one Image and PDF based web site,
which took excess time to load. As a result they had only 1 thousand
hit/day.
BDCOM with his experienced developers in UNICODE came with an
excellent solution for *Prothom Alo.* It prefers transliteration and
keyboard based input still with UNICODE standard. For displaying Complex
scripts which needed rule based Glyph Substitution and Glyph Positioning,
BDCOM developed Open Type fonts and rendering engine. Fonts were embedded by
Microsoft's WEFT technology.
I was in Axiom Technologies Ltd. And I supervised the project that
provided the WEFT and polling soution to Prothom Alo.
Happy Eid...
