Hi Sumon, If Ekushey cannot deliver a layout editor for Linux then it's a shame for the brand. :)
Ekushey never made solutions, it uses the current solutions for ease Bangla computing and then introduce them to the end users. I successfully made UniJoy layout for Linux and was using that in my Ubuntu box. Still thinking how to release it in public, because it's quite tough to install that. But as the layout went to m17n CVS, upcoming release of Linux will have it and users may have to install a few things from add/remove applications (or whatever). One more good news. We successfully included (beautiful) Bangla letters in Freefonts (FreeSans and FreeSerif) and that is also went to CVS. So upcoming Linux will have Bangla fonts by default, though you don't have any Bangla fonts installed. :) The fight is over but the war is not. We are working for our language and *will* continue. Sajed Bhai, Don't you think it *is* the time for change? All Bangladeshi Bangla web portals should change their typical system and switch to latest Unicode? -- Omi Azad Contributor Bangla Computing and Localization Projects: Ankur: http://www.ankurbangla.org Ekushey: http://www.ekushey.org Md.
