Good point!!! since you have to pay a fiber termination fee for both end of
about 5000/= taka (that was the price 6 months back) , I don't think last
mile distributors will be willing to have it.
and also it does not bring in any good bandwidth as at the end you have a
VSAT 650 millisecond jump. We are waiting for submarine cable connection
where the expected hop from BD to USA will be less than 50milisecond. That
will be the day when you say BYE BYE MISS BANGLADESHI PIE.
Have you guys noticed that Bangladesh is not participating in Asian Highway.
Another great mistake from mR. Saifur Rahman. I don't know what the Finance
minister thinks but he is not thinking with his head. So goes the gossip is
that per 64kbps bandwidth (submarine cable) you have to pay BTTB 8 lacks
half yearly. What do you think will you be THE LAST MILE USER willing to pay
4000Tk. per month for Internet. Even if you do .... I don't think others
will follow.
