What do you think of RHCE?
a. Its a waste of time of money
b. Its a good qualification to have and increases chances of employment
abroad
c. As an employer, can we safely assume a person with RHCE would have
good technical skills?
d. RHCE doesn't properly reflect technical skills .. would a RHCE be
able to comfortably work with, ubuntu? debian?
e. Does having a RHCE mean better pay?
other comments?
I ask, not only as a recruiter for unix admins, but also as a person who
is going to appear for the exam myself. A friend of mine partied all
night with me, gave the exam and passed! So I am a bit skeptical on how
hard it is. Anyway, I am appearing for it on June 15th at Agni to check
it out and hopefully i pass without preparation like my buddy! then I
can probably decide if hiring RHCE's is wise.
I support RH because it has helped highlight linux in the media and made
more people curious about it, but personally i still like debian/ubuntu.
The other thing I worry about is if a company hires an RHCE, do they run
a greater risk of losing the guy/gal to another company?
Friends at home and abroad, please give me your honest feedback ...

P.S I don't have agni's number, but they probably have info on this on
their website at www.agni.com if you are interested in appearing too..
and for newbies RHCE = Red Hat certified engineer, one of the first
linux certifications.
