Any language that allows writing virus has some strength. It sounds good in
terms of power of macro and bad interms of potential problems.
However, new users do not need to panic. The mail was to make you aware and
be careful about open documents from sources that can't be trusted.
Let me word it as following,
It is possible to press the reset button to delete your unsaved work. That's
why you shouldn't allow everyone to press it.
Similarly, you shouldn't allow running of marcos from unknown documents.

The issue is not a problem. It is a feature.
