Hi Pals, Although I have used Debian, Red Hat and Mandrake a little bit long time back, I am only a little better than "novice" when it comes to Linux. I have few queries and would appreciate your comment on that.
I want to install both Windows Vista and Ubuntu in a new desktop that I didn't buy yet. I will get Vista pre-installed with the new desktop PC though I can instruct the seller to keep some space unformatted for Ubuntu. First of all, is their any constraint that Vista won't allow me to install Ubuntu from a CD/DVD ISO image of Ubuntu 6.10? My understanding is I can, but want to check with you. Second, I see Ubuntu 6.10 is around 700 MB ISO image for CD. Can I use DVD as well instead of CD to download and burn Ubuntu? My understanding again is it should be as long as my CD drive is a CD/DVD reader, but want to confirm with you. Thanks. -- Ashik
