1. Check for physical connection. Swap cables with WIN machines and see
if it works. The LIDs can confirm this too
2. Check linux firewall settings.
3. if all seems ok the try this
<http://www.comptechdoc.org/os/linux/usersguide/linux_ugbasicnet.html> page

Note: since it seems like a manual ip configuration (Non DHCP) you need to
setup network manually. Means assign ip and gateways.

Subject: [bdlug] problem in net

Hi,

There is 2 linux, 1 Windows and 1 linksys router in my room. Last two days
from the two linux system I am failing to ping my default GW. My IP plan as
follows:

Network address ***.***.***.24 Net mask- 255.255.255.248
GW : ***.***.***.25
Linux-1 : ***.***.***.28
Linux-2 : ***.***.***.30
Windows: ***.***.***.29
Linksys: ***.***.***.26

>From both the linux box get "destination error" message when pinging to
***.***.***.25 but it is pinging to ***.***.***.26 and ***.***.***.29
>From the windows and trough the linksys can ping ***.***.***.25 without
problem.

have any idea of the cause.

Thanks and regards,
Apu
