Dear Experts
I have a mail server in debian linux. I am facing some problems. I can send
mails to some specific domains but i cannot receievs from them. Again I can
receive but cannot send. Again I cannot send/receive mail from some domains.
What may be the problem or wht to do in my mail/dns server pls help.

do you access internet through proxy?
r u behind the firewall?
if you are directly connected to internet, check the DNS serveers in
/etc/hosts.
telnet to those DNS IP addresses on port 53 and check if you can connect to
the DNS
run nslookup and check if the IP address for the domain resolves.
if you access internet through proxy/firewall, try www.dnsstuff.com
this site will give you all the information you need.

www.gmail.com and www.makintl.com. You will see the
problem.
You will be able to ping all domain except the later
on.
