Also did you know that he is anti debugger tools. He thinks only those who can't code needs more than printf/printk to debug a program. That's why nobody could push a kernel debugger (for example Kdb) into the upstream tree. He just won't let it. Also, regarding attitude, you might want to read through posts about the recent Scheduler issue. Supposedly he refused to accept a really good scheduler which could make kernel better for Desktop/Gaming. Another interesting read would be his arguments with Andrew Tanenbum about microkernel architecture. Btw, the famous OS text book write claimed Linux to be obsolete!!! And people still read his book as text on OS. :) I guess evrery hero has his dark side and there is always some people to bare him from honour.
