I'm not entirely sure if this will come to any aid, but sometimes back
in the late nineties there was an initiative for remote education,
further information is here
http://www.drik.net/learn/

if my memory serves me right, they *did not* go into free/liebre
software back then -- for two major reasons. first, they wanted to
cater the existing market and wanted their students to be able to just
join the market (and hence they taught VB and other MS stauff),
second, as we all know, Unix/linux was not really the way we know them
now a days :P

I'm not sure if the project still runs. I used to know the sysadmin of
the network back then, but at one point he was too tired with the
bureaucracy of the system and went back to US. I have no clue as to
what happened next.

all the best with your work

happy linuxing
