I have just checked Mandriva 2008 in my desktop. Now, expressing my experience with Mandriva 2008. It is just 30 minutes experience. Need to digg it more.
Tested in: Intel Pentium Celeron 2.26 GHz 512 MB ram 64 MB Nvidia Geforce2 80 GB Hard disk Good things are: 1. updated ( obviously :( ) 2. very user friendly, nice for novice. DVD,mp3 plays at the first time. 3. very colorful, windows user may love it!!! :D Bad things are: 1. Slower; very bad for advance users .. :) 2. Damn! there is no "shut down" button in Gnome of Mandriva 2008!!!! 3. Package manager is not so effective for *previous* Synaptic users :) 4. And...don`t reboot your Mandriva box too often.... filesystem tree will break... i had already broke that... and configured again 5.
