When you start wvdial, it automatically fetches DNS nameserver address and
saves them in /etc/resolv.conf which your browser uses to resolve web
addresses. But sometimes its unable to write proper values in that file, and
that's when u can dial but can't browse. then u have to manually edit
/etc/resolv.conf.
