Hi, This means that your pppo is failing to start and given your inittab init is trying to restart/respawn it. Eventaually it is pickedup by the system and disabled this useless respawning.
How to fix? Comment out the inittab line. Boot the system. (Its fixed right? he he he ..) start your ppp0 with the options from command line verbose mode.
