Omi bhai and Raihan bhai, agree with you both...
office 2008:mac used to crush a lot, that is true but with the Office
2008:mac Service Pack 1 it is now better. if you haven't got it, you can
give it a try. i would say NOT to install any 3rd party patches in Macs
cause it often leads to incompatibility and instability of the office suite.
i'm saying this from our experiences at the Apple Store Hannover, Germany.
we also saw that Office 2008:mac works better if you have more than 1GB RAM.
we tested with 1GB, 2GB and 4GB. of course performance and stability is best
with 4GB but also it's rather good with 2GB. what are your comments to that?
it is very interesting to know this because we can then send feedbacks to
our technicians and engineers at Apple!

we got a lot of positive responses from customers who are using both office
2007 and 2008:mac and they all agreed that the best Microsoft Office is on
the Mac (Boot Camp is getting very popular these days: you can install win
xp or vista on a mac these days!).

anyway, moving on. i don't see how Pages '08 has less features! in my
opinion it has more!! just explore a bit more...
comparing Office 2007 and 2008:mac, i'd say there isn't much addition of
features. but this is also same for other versions like Office XP and Office
2003 is not that different... 2008:mac has been adapted with the tabs and
you then have the cool Apple style inspectors that help you to fetch stuff
quick and easy!

last, i just want to give a small tip for Keynote '08:
like exporting to Flash, a Keynote Presentation can also be exported as
Quicktime movie. and the best part of this is: you can export your
presentation as it is. it will have all the compatibility, including the
cool transitions and animation effects etc. and more cool is that you can
view this presentation on a Windows PC if you have Quicktime installed!! and
as all Apple stuff are integrated with each other, Quicktime knows it's a
presentation and thus acts accordingly!! so at last you can have your cool
mac presentations running on Win...

guess i've been writing too much. that's all for now. till the next time
then.
and it was nice to talk to you guys. BdLug is cool...

cheers

sami
