Hi Thanks for your repaly. My server is Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4.7 I try on google and also linuxhomenetworking.com, here is some tips for configure sendmail. I follow the process but my server not works.
And I also find that these configuration is not actual configuration for RHEL4. Can you tell about actual configuraion for RHEL4. Thanks. Md. The basic concept is you create a mc file and process it to generate the cf file -- and that's it. But trying to have individual accounts for POP3/IMAP access is a different story. First, you need something like procmail to deliver the mails to individual home-directory or mail boxes (as opposed to delivery to spool file, for example), and then need an imap/pop3 server like courier-imap or imap-uw. That server will allow the users to access their mail boxes after authentication. Having said that, the net is literally swarming with information on setting up basic sendmail, courier-imap, imap-uw, procmail, and so on. Maybe it is only me, but somehow I get the feeling that the newer generation on the bdlug list lacks the drive to google around a bit before asking anything.
