Just done some digging. Looks like numbers are never converted for locals. only string characters. Even in lunar clock applet, they are showing english numbers in applet. In calendar, they kind of added a facility to show Chinese characters/numbers beside/down the english numbers.
Just in my console tried to get 'date' output in bn_BD locale. Only alpha chars are showing translated not the numbers. Wondering whether it should come from libc !!! cheers // Imtiaz Rahi Samuel Goldwyn<http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/s/samuel_goldwyn.html> - "I'm willing to admit that I may not always be right, but I am never wrong."
