Just a bit of related information.  If you run an
electrical arc across a carbon electrode (or something
like that) without any Oxygen, facinating little
spheres are created out of 60 carbons linked together
in a geodesic dome (sphere, really) framework that is
a lattice of hexagons and pentagons.  Scientists who
discovered these named the C60 compound
Buckminsterfullerene, or loosely termed "Bucky Balls".
