Title: Re: Flooding of grounds
The ancient Egyptians prayed to all their gods to be so fortunate as to have the river deposit silt on their land.....Not sure what the problem is here.... If the silt is thick enough to smother out the weeds, take advantage of your good luck and plant ( if nothing else) a good cover crop.

Subject: Flooding of grounds

Hi all!
I for a long time with interest read the messages of a BDNOW! Now I have a small question. In our region biodynamics interests while only gardeners. Set of small garden sites are posed in a wood zone of foothills Sayan. In the summer 2001 was a strong cyclone with rains in mountains, which has caused overflow of the few rivers and flooding of grounds. When water left, of ground have appeared under thick bed of an silt. Somebody possesses experience of reduction and resuscitation of ground, enlivening of soil after flooding and drift by an silts?
The gardeners are interested by biodynamic or organic experience.
