Peter, Yours is surely a fair land. What sucks about visiting, however, is that all planes in and out of NZ and also Australia, on international flights, are insecticided BY LAW. I became ill coming in and even more violently ill going home from your island paradise. Sheesh! And the airlines do not advise their passengers for fear that admission that some might have a problem with these poisons, declared by the government and manufacturers to be "safe", would open the door for large liability lawsuits. So they keep a stiff upper lip and in general a closed mouth attitude about deliberately poisoning all visitors. And to think the Greens are part of the ruling coalition in NZ! Something should be done about this sub-rosa terrorism of all visitors on the part of the NZ government. At least it should be brought out into the open. At least, as I understand it, you have mandatory GMO labeling of all foods. The US should pay attention to that one. I just rendered lard from my never-exposed-to-poisons pigs. I'm asking $7.50 per quart (it is in sealed glass jars). This is gourmet lard, which makes the best biscuits and pie crust of anything. There is nothing else like it. Lard in the supermarket surely contains every poison from DDT to the ivomec wormers given to all those factory farm pigs. The food situation out there is not good at all, and not getting better. Best, Hugh
