THE CREATION OF A MICHAEL FESTIVAL OUT OF THE SPIRIT

...In the first period after the great Atlantean catastrophe, the life of
man was intimately connected with the
spirit; each human being could be told the nature of his Karma, according
to the moment of his birth. At that
time astrology was not the dilettantism it often is to-day, but signified
rather a living participation in the deeds

What do I mean by saying that men
experienced the �course of the year�? It means that they knew through
immediate perception, that the earth is
not the coarse lump modern geology sees in it. No plants could grow on
the earth, if it were what geology
imagines; even less could animals or human beings appear on it � this
would be quite impossible; for
according to geologists the earth is a mineral, and there can be direct
growth out of the mineral only when the
whole universe works upon it, when there is a connection with the whole
universe. In ancient times men knew
what to-day must be learned over again, namely, that the earth is an
organism and has a soul.

LUNA enters Libra at 2:44 AM CST -6GMT. If the Virgo mood is Confucian, the
Libran (at least
this Libran's) mood is extremely Taoist.
This Taoist, Alchemical MOON Trines unaspected Aquarian MERCURY at 6:13 AM.
Expect to
encounter the fragrance of the Elixir, and with one whiff, experience a
brief sense of absolute inner
peace. The sensation is fleeting, naturally...but that's because we're meant
to follow the scent.
Aquarian VENUS exactly Sextiles PLUTO at 10:52 AM. We have the choice of
staying in
place...but the loss of what's possible in an uncertain future would be far
greater than the loss of a
comfortable position in the unstable present. There are currently 5 planets
in Aquarius. The burden
of responsibility for the future is in our own hands...but it's not likely
to be visually
appealing...unless we have the eyes with which to see. A change in viewpoint
is inevitable.
LUNA Squares JUPITER (in his Inconjunct to NEPTUNE, and in his end of the
T-Square with
MARS and Chiron) at 1:57 PM. This creates a Grand Cross that emphasizes
precisely what is meant
by one of the bedrock precepts of the Aquarian enterprise...although this is
not something you'll
find in the usual Astrologic literature. Saint Christopher is / was a
particular version of the Water
Bearer...and as such...clues us into what the Water Bearer can mean in terms
of the transition from
the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. Think of it this way for a
moment. Christopher was the
image of a character who carried Christ across a river on his shoulder. In
Jungian thought, Christ is
a symbol of the Self...the goal of the Individuation process. Living up to
one's full potential and
unique destiny. As such, he (and the Water Bearer) symbolize the burden of
responsibility to
become our own true selves. To take it all one heavy step further...that's
the meaning of taking up
one's own cross...in this case, symbolized by the Grand Cross of the current
zeitgeist.
LUNA Trines SATURN (in his Inconjunct to Chiron, Sextile to MARS and Trine
to NEPTUNE) at
3:54 PM, and Trines NEPTUNE (in his Sextile to MARS) at 4:50 PM. Co-existent
with the Grand
Cross, we have a Grand Trine in Air. Consistent with the Taoist theme of the
moment, we have
another synchronistic indication of the weight and importance of the
Aquarian enterprise. This
time...imprinted in the very energy and structure of the body. In Chinese
Medicine we have
something known as the Ren Mai, Ren Channel or Conception Vessel which
governs the Yin energy
of the body.
I feel the need to quote from The Eight Extraordinary Meridians by Claude
Larre and Elizabeth
Rochat De La Valle (available also through Monkey Press at 36 Richmond Road,
Cambridge CB4
3PU).
"...the character REN....is composed with the radical REN, (meaning) human,
and the phonetic
(character) which...is...an image of a bamboo pole with a load hanging at
each end, buckets of water
for example. The meaning is to endure, to bear, to take the burden of
something." (p. 85).
LUNA Opposes MARS at 7:29 PM to complete the Grand Cross. I personally find
the
synchronicity...especially in terms of the Taoist rendition of the Aquarian
enterprise...as embodied
in the richness of meaning conveyed by the reality of the the Ren Mai...to
be breathtaking. Pure,
Libran / Taoist alchemy.
Theories are nice. "See" what your body has to tell you today. Listen to
it...not to me.
