Hi Merla
I have only been using field broadcaster for 2 seasons so you
will get some better responses than mine ( particularly if Hugh Lovel is on
line )
This is all still experimental and everyone that reads this will have a
better idea But here is my thoughts anyway (if some of 'em put their better
ideas on this list that will be great)
*This is a wild area so limit your treatment to those areas in need of it
*I would put out all of the BD remedies first - 500 through 508 plus barrel
compost and horn clays for a time (maybe a couple of months) to establish a
base.
*Then I would take the BD preps out and go after the weeds with a well
prepared pepper - potentised of course. (multiple combined potencies are an
attractive idea - all the way from D8 to high MM's ) Treatment time might be
as short as 24 hours - Hey you won't kill em but I bet you will see some
change - if we can reduce the energy of weeds a bit then they become more
susceptible to predators and diseases and at the same time other competitive
plants gain some ground from the influence of the preps. A caution -- when
resuming the normal treatment check out everything - I have caught myself
once already putting out stuff that actually helped the weeds to recover
from the pepper treatment - we can easily get too clever.
I would like to see some other thoughts on this - come on guys
!!
Cheers all
Lloyd Charles
