Dear Friends, I believe we have some confusion here over the term "ego" . As
I understand it what Jung refers to as ego is what Steiner would refere to
as astral body or activity and has a relationship to unrefined personality.
Ego in Steiners terms is our connection to the higher self, higher spiritual
beings and "God". This is the purifying by fire through which the astral /
soul is tamed or refined. (Stripping out the bullshit)
Steiner does mention that at this time there would be an increasing number
of egoless people on the earth. People who become fanatical about things are
given as one manifestation of this condition. So what I am asking is if we
could possibly come to a common understanding of what "ego" is and how it
manifests in the terms of spiritual science?
