Dear Bonnie, Rudolf Steiner made it very clear in the lectures to farmers that the preparations were meant to enhance a sound animal based compost fertility management program. A production oriented farm would be more biodynamic to incorporate livestock for soil building and not use preparations, than the opposite. I am a little confused at the Brazilian practices described by Jose, since most of the preparations are to be added to compost, and to think of adding compost for 27 years and see no results? Were they even composting?
To work with the preparations for energetic purposes in a garden or urban situation is different. In this situation, a direct relationship is created out of the moral desire and willingness of the gardener to communicate, assist and express love to nature, nature spirits, elementals, and the like. So for energy work(as I call it) the preparations have a whole other meaning. But to be oriented towards true farm or even garden production, one must consider the spiritual needs AND practical needs of humus, organic matter, the influences of livestock, in a word, Compost! Have a great day! Christy Korrow ----- Original Message ----- From: Bonnie York <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, March 07, 2002 6:48 PM Subject: Re: Official BD in Brazil
