Dear Monsieur, If you think that AIDS is transmitted by copulation as you say you probably also think that AIDS is transmitted by any sort of virus or more precisely HIV virus. If this is true maybe it is time for you to review your way of thinking. After all this is a list that challenges the way of doing agriculture by the majority of the people. Are they correct ? Maybe it is time to look at sites like the following ones : http://www.aidslighthouse.org.il/dusberg.htm http://wcb1.uww.edu/wcb/schools/400/890/kozlowij/7/forums/forum31/messag es/24.html Or alternatively read some books like "The Virus Within - A Coming Epidemic" by Ronald Regush.
If you get to understand what really causes AIDS then the text do make some sense. IMF and World Bank are not only responsible for the Health Crisis but also for the poverty of several countries that have to adere to their way of conducting their policies. Jose Luiz ----- "The policies dictated by the World Bank and IMF exacerbated poverty, providing fertile ground for the spread of HIV/AIDS..." Pardon me, but I thought that copulation of some sort with an infected person caused the spread of AIDS. Now, it appears that poverty causes AIDS. Oh, wait a minute, maybe the author is saying that only poor people copulate. Or, maybe poor people have more time to copulate. "These institutions must be made accountable for their role in causing the worst health crisis in human history, which Africa now faces." Are these poor people at all responsible for their behavior, ie, who they copulate with? If these poor people had more money, do you suppose they would stop copulating and spreading AIDS? I doubt it! Africa Action has launched a new campaign called "Africa's Right to Health Campaign." The campaign is based information on a new position paper, Hazardous to Health: The World Bank and IMF in Africa, published by Africa Action and written by Ann-Louise Colgan. According to this new paper, "The policies dictated by the World Bank and IMF exacerbated poverty, providing fertile ground for the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. Cutbacks in health budgets and privatization of health services eroded previous advances in health care and weakened the capacity of African governments to cope with the growing health crisis. Consequently, during the past two decades the life expectancy of Africans has dropped by 15 years." _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
