Hi Merla and list members Merla I am enough of a cynic that I believe this is one of the prime aims of the promoters of GMO production at present - why else would the chemical companies pursue massive investment in seed production companies? The stupidest part of this whole deal is that NOWHERE in any of the countries looking to embrace this ridiculous and unwarranted technology has anybody in authority asked the potential consumers of this genetically altered garbage do they want to buy it and eat it in preference to non GMO !!! The second stupidest thing is that when a raft of chemical company salesmen gets up in front of the farmers and legislators and say that this (GMO) technology will save money by reducing chemical usage they are actually believed!!! All other arguments are distractions!! Cheers Lloyd Charles
