Hi! Christiane,
A few hours in a small Orgone Accumulator is the way to go. (A small stainless
steel canister with a layer of fleece wool, with a calico cover.) Some pre soak
in BD 500. Some place them in a pyramid, usually just a frame from copper rod.
Carrots should not need any treatment as they have 8 to 10 year viability.
Spinach, beetroot and like veg require protection from birds as most seed is lost
to them before coming up. A simple wooden frame from two by one or three by one
on edge, with half inch bird wire does the trick. Only needed until about an inch
high. If no bird wire, use shade cloth. The other trick is to plant a bed with
radish and when you pull a radish, plant a spinach seed in the hole. This will
usually fool the birds.
