Although she uses lime as an example, is there any reason why this process
wouldn't work with rock dust?

Hi Chris
Yes this will work in varying degrees with anything you like
to use, including the BD preps. It will work exceptionally well on the best
soils. Say a nice young, self mulching, basalt with high paramagnetic count
and good microbial activity. But these soils will withstand 20 or 30 years
of extractive farming before they quit anyway.
On our older and highly weathered soils that have already lost most of
their active minerals I think we need to put some physical substance out
there as well. We have seen numerous instances in southern Australia where
use of biodynamics has given dramatic early results for five, seven, maybe
ten years and then the system crashed - massive calcium and trace element
problems because on deficient soils the preps have catalysed every last
little bit and finally the cupboard is bare. With calcium and trace minerals
deficient you are never going to get microbial activity up to its potential
and so the whole thing just grinds to a stop.
Its like a battery - a fully charged new battery will start your motor
fast and not USE much power - it recharges fast and easily. A tired battery
on a cold morning will grind along - turning over slow - the motor wont
start - it will USE UP enough power to make the leads melt and still not
start the motor - takes forever to recharge it too.
We dont use, nor do I recommend, full on rates of anything, (including
compost). Its much better to use economical amounts of high quality
material, properly matched to your soil. We match these materials
radionically to every situation. Its easy to find say a lime or rock dust -
whatever material - that is good quality, good conventional analysis, AND
TAKES YOUR SOIL ENERGY DOWN on a radionic analysis. You dont want this one
unless you can find something else that goes with it to lift the energy
levels up.
Just a comment on the Kolisko work (which I refer to often and find
fascinating)
1 for this trial they used calcium hydroxide (not carbonate) this is a
very active material - too severe for soil incorporation in most cases
2 it was a seed soak treatment not soil incorporated - minute amounts
of nutrients have large effects when used this way.
Finally why not do both? put out a few hundred kilos of good lime
, rock dust, some colloidal phosphate, trace minerals, a bit of good compost
(or tea), as a base, then use the preps and other stuff in a field
broadcaster to activate the system
Cheers to all
