dear sstorch and all.......WELL SAID!.... . Your comment reminds me of
the book "Dumbing Us Down" "by john tayler gatto... so true...( by the way
my computer finally complied and i took the eco footprints test got a 4.19
but that's mostly because i stay home and work in our garden most of the
time. my husbands 2 hour commute to work every day wasn't factored in ).
here is a quote for you from march -April , "Home Education Magazine, under
the "Success of Public Education." a tribute to the above author John
Tayler Gatto "And when such individuals exist , the combine fears them. It
may occasionally pay lip service to their value, but it ultimately has no
real use for artists, dancers, poets, self-sufficient farmers, tree
lovers, devoted followers of, what it views as non-materialist cults-
Christian or otherwise, handicraft workers, makers of their own beer,or ,
for that matter ,stay- at- home moms and dads, all of whom ,when they endure
at all ,do so at the margins and on the periphery of the social economy "
... it's amazing how many of these things fit our family.. guess we are
among the weeds growing in the cracks of the sidewalks , that can't be
stomped out. i always thought it would be a great bumper sticker "if the
people lead, eventually, the leaders will follow " KEEP GROWING :)sharon
