This off-topic thread is a bummer.
I just saw Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine", a black-humor documentary asking why Americans are so violent. You have to laugh to keep from crying. Moore's point is that our culture is unique in emphasizing fear. No wonder we go off the deep end.
But the real irony is that even us disaffected counter-culture types play into the same game, painting a grim picture can calling it "realism". It's time we stopped contributing. Don't give your power to negative vibes.
Oh, and go see the movie if you have the chance.

Dear Dave,
I do believe you've missed my point.
My positive agenda in this post--beyond the spread of biodynamics--was to vote Green. Sorry I took so long to get to the point and painted such a heavy picture. But it IS a heavy picture, and it does no good to shoot the messenger--or ignore him.
I hope you read Steve Storch's comments. He got it 100%. I don't know if that's because he's living so close to ground zero, but I suspect a lot of it comes from using the agricultural remedies so extensively. They really are a boost to right understanding and right action--as no doubt you yourself have found.
Best,
Hugh
