It is an egg shaped vessel, urn amphora; terms are interchangable. I get them at garden centers, on sale of course. They range from 3-50 gallons in size. I cover the tops with wood or a terra cotta dish. I am not sure which clay they are made from but porous is of course best. You are a potter, make some. What is the largest size you can fire?
