This morning I have been told by the Hortresearch scientist that our GArudaBD 'Warmth Spray'  has provided a better than 30% increase in fruit set over the control.

Given many growers are experiencing a 30% reduction in crop due to frost, this is significant. For organic apples upwards of $25K per ha increase in returns. Grape growers more so.

These results support our video evidence of growers of tamarillos and passionfruit who believe their crops would have been killed by the -3deg C frosts they experienced.

Also our warmth mixture on these two crops have increased flowering and fruit set while producing earlier flowering as well. These crops fruit on new wood. Apples on 'old' wood. The increased flowering effect will show up next season on apples. This supported by experiences on kiwifruit -old wood fruiters-showing increased flowering after subsequent years of spraying our warmth and flowering products. see website for written testimonials from a monitoring company.

Please note Hugh Lovels experience that 507 alone increases flowering, which does not translate into fruit set.

Our frost protection mixture -of which 507 is only one part- does all these things.

We now have a CD available with a powerpoint presentation of photographed crop evidence (also available on our website), a 15 min video of further crop experiences from 1990 to 2002 and details of the 20 years of experiences of homeopathic Garuda biodynamics.

onwards and upwards

Higher brix in leaves of plants does provide some frost resistance.

How about ice nucleating bacteria? We try to keep the ratio of legumes to grasses higher in frost prone vineyards due to the lower numbers of ice nucleating bacteria present on broad-leaved plants.

Do compost teas lower or raise ice nucleating bacteria?
