(from the homeopathy works newsletter -AB)

RECAP -
Leonard Torok, MD held a meeting with the administrators of his hospital in Medina, OH (south of Cleveland). He proposed a homeopathic protocol the hospital could follow in case there was a Small Pox event - The protocol covered both prevention and treatment. He also presented historical/statistical support re use of homeopathy which showed that using homeopathic medicine (per various public health records) resulted in high 90's% rate of prevention and high 90's% rate of cure of those who were infected.

The Historical evidence for giving serious consideration to homeopathic medicines is quite strong - Dr. Torok considers the record to have scientific significance.

Both the historical evidence and protocol is something you could give to your doctor - allopathic or homeopathic. Since many of the medicines mentioned are RX including the primary one in the protocol. Your doctor can decide if this is a way for you to go and order these medicines for you. NOTE: PLEASE do not try to order the product in the protocol (Variolinum) and argue with us about the fairness of them being RX. They just are, and for reasons that I can't change. Some of the other medicines mentioned in the historical support are also RX - if you happen to order one of them and it's RX - we will let you know which is what and it really isn't negotiable. Get your doctor involved.

We have placed the protocol and historical support on our web server for download at

The protocol is in Adobe Acrobat, the historical presentation is in Microsoft PowerPoint. If you can't open it ask a friend to help you. We just aren't set up to send hard copies.

The book The Homeopathic Treatment of Influenza is modern and contains much information on the flu epidemic circa 1918. It is 382 pages and $24.95.
