----------The fixed star Polis at 3 degrees Capricorn is also a part of these unfolding mysteries and is located in the upper part of the bow of the archer, emitting an energy that stimulates ambition and motivates people into action, which is also a quality associated with Mars. Mars reaches alignment with this star on March 10. It might be useful to ask ourselves how has the sacred masculine principle matured and learned from its current quest based on global and personal events? Are we ready to wield the Sword of Truth for the benefit of all life or are we still wielding the Sword as a way to justify domination and control of others to bend them to our truth? It is also interesting to note that when Mars begins its new quest in August of 2003 it will be the brightest and closest to the Earth it has been in 78,000 years.

March Sky Events Mars is of special interest as March begins because it has re-entered the area of the sky where it was transiting September, 2001. Mars conjuncts the fixed star Spiculum, the tip of the arrow in the constellation of the Archer, from March 4 - 8, with the exact conjunction on March 6 and then on March 7, 2003 Mars reaches the exact sign and degree it occupied on Sept 11, 2001. This is a critical collective choice point for the masculine warrior principle who has been questing for the Sword of Truth since June, 2001. This is symbolized by Mars returning to the area of the sky where his current quest began only now he enters this place from the Elder Knowledge and Maturity phase of the current cycle assuming he is successfully completing the initiation for the full knowledge and experience of the Sword of Truth. This first week of March will be a reflection of how the collective psyche of humanity is responding to this quest and if indeed we are now embracing the Sword of Truth for the benefit of humanity rather than for the domination of others.
Tuning into this area of the sky and in particular the fixed star Spiculum is one way to work consciously with these energies. According to Dr Eric Morse in his book the Living Stars� Spiculum is Latin for dart or point of an arrow or similar weapon. Ptolemy rates this star as a Mars-Moon type, another of the 'blind stars' and a figure of great foreboding�There is often that feeling of negative 'fear of God', rather than comfort from the sensing of His Presence, the feeling that He is Omnipotent in such a way that the individual's life is of no concern to Him, so that we are hopelessly doomed�well aspected, the Trifid, or Spiculum, shows just the opposite in the person. There can be a very real feel of companionship with the entire Universe and its Creator and remarkable ability to plunge deeply into the seas of philosophy and come up with joyous and meaningful answers through a very happy intuition .
Page Bryant's book Starwalking says Spiculum "�is composed of two star clusters and three nebulas (M8, the Lagoon Nebula, M20 and M21). A nebula is concentrated area of star energy, a stellar vortex if you will. This kind of power energizes the full force of a person's will power. Spiculum's energy will be released by the Regulators just after the year 2000, and it will bring about a leap in human spiritual evolution. On an individual basis Spiculum's influence will eventually help bring us to the point of self-realization."
