.. There is a LOT of research that needs to be
done., if only it was funded.

When I was a teacher in the Biology School of a British university, our Honours degree students were required to carry out a piece of individual supervised research in their last year (of three), which might last for several weeks of solid work or the equivalent amount of time spread out over the year. Their report on this gained a proportion of the final marks determning the grade of their degree. Academic supervisors were always desperate to discover topics suitable for all the students planning such work. Why not check if your local university has such a requirement? Departments of Botany, Agriculture, Physical Geography/Soil Science, even Statistics might well be interested in a field study or the analysis of results. Presumably, the supervisor would need to be sympathetic to 'alternative' agriculture and horticulture, but a few might even see an opportunity to debunk BD! Your input would probably have to be quite hefty (although this would deter falsification by debunkers) but the student and his supervisor come free: the student would normally have a small budget to cover travel and expendables. As the equivalent of a farm intern, he/she might expect to be bedded and fed for short periods (but feeding with BD produce should help to convince?).

Just a thought... Tony N-S.
