My garlic has quite rapidly developed an alarming infestation of rust. Fortunately, I'm about to harvest it and can burn the foliage, but it looks as though it might spread to nearby leeks. I'll try spraying with an infusion of fresh mare's-tail tomorrow (although mare's-tail is growing in the garlic bed already). Any advice, please? Does diluted milk work on rust as well as on mould?
