Thanks for the response...Vinod   Actually, I'm not migrating from Oracle to SQL.  I 
want to fetch records in that fashion (multi-column check).  Since the data (groupid 
an branchid) to be sent from front end, the query needs to be formed dynamically.   
will there be any performance issue, if we form huge and/or logical combinations
