hi  i have also come across this problem.
i came across 2 solutions: 1.DB Based: do have a field in the logintable and when the 
user log on make this field "ON" and when he logs in a different machine chk with the  
LOGIN NAME and the status of this field. if its ON dont allow to log on.else allow 
him.   2. WEB BASED : when yu r application is a web based. do have a application 
variable for each user, and remove this variable when the user loggs off.   i used the 
DB method.   with regards  SenthilVel.M
