them get through to you ... :)) thanks for mentioning the book. hey i saw mark
hammond in teh author list ... hello, mark hammond of python fame ? he is not a ms
developer , atleast not the last i knew. let me check, hold... btw i use a simple
text editor called scite, hammond has co-written that and it was originally written
for py - i noticed it cause it came packaged with ruby. do meet up with don victor,
if you havent already. Don got started on some wsh and ruby some in december. ok
this expains it (by mark hammond): Programming in the .NET environmentCo-written with
Damien Watkins and Brad Abrams from Microsoft, this book isn't about Python (but I did
make sure it got a number of mentions!). Published by Addison-Wesley, the book's page
is here.
hmmm.... btw try speaking to those guys about installing the frameword sdk at
office, that doesnt have a cost/diskspace/performance etc tags attached so they might
let you have it - also go down to the MS competency center sometime at 27wr. if that
doesnt work try and get the latest mono (www.go-mono.com) , it doesnt compare in any
justice, but atleast it will give you a compiler and a part runtime - enough to stay
in the show :) miss those days, trecking colleges for programming contests ? rosh
